Spring is coming soon!!! There are probably a lot of things you probably want to start doing in the spring. But I have a better plan. Why not try to get some things accomplished BEFORE spring? The months following the holiday season can seem long, boring, dull, and cold. We sometimes hibernate, just waiting for good weather, but you probably have more time now than you did in December, or will have in March. So use your time efficiently and these winter months will just fly by, and you will have major projects checked off your list and ready to start new spring goals.
Think about your New Year’s resolutions, also. Instead of giving up by February, try harder to get into those new habits before spring. You know which ones I’m talking about: Diet and Exercise!!!!! Don’t give up now. It’s almost time to get your reward of looking great in your spring and summer clothes. So keep working on it every day. By March, you will be soooo glad you stuck with it.
That’s just the beginning. Here are 10 projects to get done BEFORE spring:
1) Get to your goal weight, or just get into the habit of daily exercise, and healthier eating.
2) Get your credit cards paid off (from holiday shopping).
3) Get your spring/summer clothes organized and make a list of what to add.
4) Plan your summer vacation.
5) Get your spring cleaning done now (it’s too cold to get outside to do anything anyway.)
6) Plan your house projects for the spring, such as landscaping or painting.
7) Plan a new month of menus for spring/summer using your grill and fresh fruits and veggies.
8) Get ready for the end of the school year, such as getting your kids’ scrapbooks organized, and planning end of the year school activities and parties. (Nope, it’s not too early. You know how crazy things get in May.)
9) Plan a family reunion for sometime in the spring or summer. It’s the perfect time and should be a priority in our lives. Plan for it now and make it happen!
10) Last, but not least, plan your plans!!!! What????? That’s right, I am a planner! Don’t get overwhelmed. Make a list of what to FINISH by end of winter, and then another list of projects to START in spring. Organize each item with a “start by” date and an “end by” date. Then each week, do a few things on your list to reach your deadline.
That’s it!!! Feels great to get things done, doesn’t it? Now, let’s get ready for some springtime fun!!!
